Sam began his mining and chemical career in 1987 with Nalco Chemical.  He served in numerous sales and management roles with Nalco through 1999.  

In 1999, he joined Custom Chemicals as their sales manager focusing in phosphate and industrial minerals.  In 2003, Custom merged with ArrMaz and he managed the company's industrial minerals and specialty tolling activities. 

Currently, Sam heads the Industrial Minerals Technologies business unit with global responsibilities for AMCC activities in numerous mining and mineral processing areas

Sam graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering in 1986 and obtained his MBA from the University of South Florida in 2004.  Sam and his wife Karyn have three daughters and reside in Lithia, Florida.
